The Tasman NP is home to a special array of flora and fauna – including rare and critically endangered species, some found nowhere else on earth like the Swift Parrot, the Forty-spotted Pardalote, and the Cape Pillar Sheoak. The unique coastline, and it’s spectacular vertical dolerite and horizontal sandstone cliffs, are a sight to behold.
Hiking in the area includes the Three Capes Track, the Tasman Circuit, and smaller half-day walks off these main trails.
The Tasman National Park – where these photos were taken – is the traditional lands of the Pydairrerme band, part of the Oyster bay tribe. I respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of these lands and waters on which I was able to traverse, learn, and appreciate – and pay respect to the First Nations Peoples and their elders, past, present and future.
