Spectacular annual event where the continents only deciduous plant – the Deciduous Beech (Nothofagus gunnii) – goes through a 2-3 week change of colours, from brilliant summer green to yellow/orange/red, before turning dormant for the cool Tasmanian winter.

The Mt Field National Park – where these photos were taken – is the traditional lands of the Big River people.
